This summer, the Peninsula Community Foundation received more requests for assistance than any time in our 20+ year history. We are asking for your help in raising $150,000 this month to fully fund critical need grant requests for food, shelter, & life-sustaining health care in the LKN area and Western NC.
In order to ease the burdens placed on local non-profits due to increased need and a reduction in federal funding, the PCF is asking for YOUR help! Please consider "showing the love" this summer and making a donation. 100% of your contribution will be directed to fully-vetted charities that serve critical needs in LKN area and our neighbors in Western NC. Thank you, for your support!
During the summer months, when schools aren't in session, food security for children is always a challenge. This year, local charities that work to ensure no one in our community goes hungry, are struggling to provide meals to everyone in need. They are overwhelmed, under-resourced, and in desperate need of help.
Your donations to our critical needs campaign help our neighbors complete urgent home repairs to needed systems such as plumbing or A.C. or other structural damage that threatens their ability to have a safe living environment. Your assistance also provides shelter to those affected by storms across Western NC where the need is still so great.
No one should live in pain or be denied access to medical care because of their financial circumstances. There is a huge need in our area for assistance with "extras" that are not covered by insurance, but are necessary and unaffordable for so many, such as dental care, prescriptions, optometric services, adaptive equipment for those with disabilities, and mental health care.
The Peninsula Community Foundation is a private operating foundation that is registered as a nonprofit, charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
