remembering george

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and Board member, George Searle. 

George was a dedicated leader of The Peninsula Community Foundation, and a constant source of kindness, encouragement, and wisdom. He believed deeply in the mission of our organization and dedicated countless hours to making sure that those in need were seen, supported, and cared for.

George had a gift for bringing people together. His compassion and humility left a mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.We will miss George’s presence at our table, his thoughtful perspective, gentle humor, and unwavering belief in the good we can do together. But most of all, we will miss the warmth of his friendship.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Searle family, friends, and all who were touched by his incredible heart. We will continue the work he cared so deeply about, carrying forward his legacy of compassion, hope, and service.

If you would like to pay your respects to George, his family and friends will celebrate his life on at 4:00 on Sunday, November 2nd at The Peninsula Club. The family has asked that in lieu of flower or food contributions, donations be made in George's name to The PCF. These funds will be directed to the non-profit organizations George dedicated his life to supporting.
